Frequently asked questions
Is my photo or CSV data uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo, CSV parsing, QR generation and card rendering all happen in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
What does the QR code contain?
The cardholder's name, ID number, designation, organization and validity date as plain text, so any QR scanner can show who the card belongs to.
What columns should my CSV have?
name, id_number, designation, blood_group, phone, valid_till and optionally photo. Download the sample CSV for the exact format. Values that contain commas should be wrapped in double quotes.
How do bulk photos get matched to people?
Upload the photos alongside the CSV. Each row uses the file named in its photo column (e.g. priya.jpg); if that column is empty, a file named after the ID number (e.g. EMP-1042.jpg) is used. Rows without a match get a placeholder.
How many cards fit on one sheet?
10 landscape or 9 portrait cards per A4 page, at the standard 85.6 × 54 mm ID card size. Print at 100% scale ("Actual size") for correct dimensions.
Can I use this for students or employees?
Yes. Use "Designation / class" for a job title or class and section, "ID number" for an employee code or roll number, and change the card title to Student ID, Employee ID and so on.
